Richard Harrow

Richard Harrow is a singer, songwriter, musician, actor, audio engineer and producer with close to 40 years of professional experience. Richard attended the University of Calgary Drama department in the early 70's. He then began working as a songwriter and musician, playing in several Alberta rock bands and composing the legendary musical "Potts". After performing for several years with folk group The Original Caste ("One Tin Soldier") he built his own recording studio - "The Living Room" in Calgary. The 80's found him recording hundreds of artists, earning gold and platinum records, as well as a Juno award. Harrow's career moved from recording to mastering in the mid 90's. Over the next 16 years he developed audiomastering.com (a division of Canada Disc Inc.) into a world class mastering facility.

In the summer of 2010 Richard partnered with creative and technical whiz Cole Binder to form HB Media Services Inc. "We put in a new room for video editing and audio mixing, which can also be used for original music production" he says. "HB Media has given me the opportunity to do the things I like most – projects where I'm involved directly in the video or music - and still get time for my own writing, recording and performing".

Currently completing his 10th album, and further developing his one-man, multi-media live show, Richard Harrow also co-hosts Soundwaves Folk Club and teaches several audio courses at SAIT.
